Mojo Update
“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”
― Josh Billings
Snowbathing, his favorite past time.
Mojo had surgery today and it went much better than our vet thought it would. The large cyst was actually two cysts that grew very closely together, but both were encapsulated (contained). They hadn't leaked out underneath, so he didn't have to remove even more muscle/tissue. He also removed the most troublesome cysts- under his leg, a tag near his eye and a very small one on his footpad. He will monitor him tomorrow then Thursday, if all goes well, he can come HOME. He didn't require a drain and he remarked more than once that he is the ideal patient. Stoic, so friendly and always so good natured. He mentioned how 'this dog doesn't have one aggressive bone in his body' because he knew full well that much of what they have had to do hurt like hell, but he often licks their hands while they are tending to him.
I am so grateful to have such an awesome and knowledgable vet. That is why we so far to see him. I won't settle but anything less for my babies and tend to turn into an angry bear if they treat them poorly.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has donated to his vet fund. I still have no idea how much this is going to cost, that is not my concern at the moment, but every single donation will help SO much.
It warms my heart that so many are rooting for his recovery and I can't thank you enough for your support and good wishes. It's been a tough couple of years healthwise, with no end in sight for me yet, but having my boy by my side helps me in ways I cannot put into words. Mojo medicine. It's simply the best. ❤
Peace.
